The Roots - Rising Down [2008]

El grupo de Ahmir "?uestlove" Thompson realiza una radiografía del mundo actual en “Rising Down”.

En su décimo álbum, “Rising Down”, The Roots se adentra en el territorios oscuros. En el disco hay canciones como “Criminal”, que habla de la brutalidad policial, o "Singing Man", que trata el terrorismo de Oriente Medio. Según el líder del grupo, Ahmir "?uestlove" Thompson, el disco está inspirado por las noticias que veían en la CNN.

En “Rising Down” han colaborado Mos Def, Common , Styles P, DJ Jazzy Jeff , Talib Kweli y Patrick Stump, de Fall Out Boy
